asting is a discipline and it is hard work. No one wants to afflict their body or bring it under subjection. It be fear, a thought process a negative belief system. Fasting is a discipline that requires commitment and structure.

When one fasts it has to be from God, in order for one is to know the direction or goal for fasting. If you are fasting and not praying and reading your Bible for at least 3-4 hours a day, you are just dieting. Isaiah 58:9b-13, gives us clear directions on the type of fast God desires.

The one thing one must remember is to get clear instructions from God about the type of fast He is calling you too. Because if He is guiding it the outcome will be fantastic and beneficial to you and everyone you encounter.

When you are fasting you will have to do a lot of casting down imaginations and strongholds that are attacking your mind, body, family, finances, etc. Because the devil who roams around like a roaring lion is always seeking someone to devour. Fasting weakens you, if it is true fasting it humbles you.

Many people go on a fast for selfish reasons, but Isaiah 58 gives us a clear picture of what and why we are called to fast. Jesus also gave us a clear picture in Mark 9 :19-29 of why we should fast and pray. He used the experience His disciples had when they could not cast out two demons who were trying to kill this child from his youth. We all should take fasting and praying very seriously because our generations are in some serious trouble.

The Lord also admonishes us in 2 Chronicles 7:14 If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves (fast) and pray and seek My face (My Righteousness) and turn from their wicked ways (sincerely repent), then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land (children, families, nation).

We must submit to God in fasting and praying, resist the devil and he will flee from you. Draw nigh to God in Fasting and praying, He will draw nigh to you.

We are living in a time that the Body of Christ must prepare the Bride of Christ through prayer and fasting. Malachi 4:5b-6 Behold I will send you Elijah the prophet, before the coming of that great and dreadful day of the Lord. 6) And He will turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the hearts of the children back to their fathers, lest I come and strike the earth with a curse. We are in a major pandemic and it is calming lives faster than you can blink your eye. If there were ever a time to fast and pray for our generations to change and turn back to the Living and Trie God, “THAT TIME IS NOW” God said you will have no other God before Me. Exodus 20:3. “For I will be exalted in all the nations and in the earth. Psalm 46:10, for I am a jealous God visiting the iniquities of the third and fourth generation of those who hate Me. (Exodus 20:5)

It is time for this nation and all nations to turn faces back to God, repent of not fighting against the very things He hates and for not fighting for The poor, the hungry, the the homeless, etc.
